On August 2, 1978, the Royal Post of Great Britain issued a series of stamps commemorating the Bicycle. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp celebrating the Contemporary Sports Bike cancelled from the city of issue (Edinburgh) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a couple riding their bikes. The producer of this cover has also written a short commentary on the modern ten-speed bike; a copy has been included for you. Great art, unaddressed, this cover is a collectible, historic piece of cycling memorabilia.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included ***
