If you're looking for something definitely "out of the ordinary", we have something for you! The USPS commemorated the return of Halley's Comet in 1985 with an imprinted airmail envelope. In the case of an inprint, it is treated the same as if it were a separate stamp. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Hannibal, Mo.) on the first day of issue (December 4, 1985.)
Read what is printed on the envelope and all shall be revealed as to why we have placed a Halley's Comet cover in the Book section. If you're a Mark Twain fan, this is the ultimate conversation piece. (P.S. - Samuel Clemens died April 21, 1910.)
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features two portraits of Mark Twain, one shown with the comet. Historic, collectible, it's matted in blue and will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
