On April 16, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Daffy Duck. This was the third stamp of a series of five that would be issued over a five-year period to celebrate the laughter generated by several Looney Toon characters. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp of Daffy Duck cancelled from the city of issue (Los Angeles, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the special cancellation for this stamp!
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features that scheming, incompetent, but loveable duck that never fails to make us liaugh...Daffy. This is a wonderful collectible, historic, piece of movie and animation memorabilia. The producer of this cover has also included a short commentary about Daffy Duck, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
