Barbie Doll.....
On September 17, 1999, the USPS issued a set of fifteen stamps commemorating the Decade of the 1960's. One of these was the Barbie Doll. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the rare black-hair Barbie stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Green Bay, WI) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a close-up of the glamorous Barbie face. The cachet is printed on silk giving the color a luminosity that makes it 'pop' from the envelope. The producer of this cover also has written a brief history of a doll that has withstood the test of time, popular with young girls and collectors alike. We have included a copy for you.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
