Beau Geste..... On March 23, 1990, the USPS honored one of four Classic Movies of 1939.... Beau Geste. Starring Gary Cooper, this movie shared the set of four stamps with Gone With the Wind, The Wizard of Oz and Stagecoach. The new stamp is shown here on a genuine First Day Cover (envelope), cancelled from the city of issue (Hollywood, Ca.) on the stamp's "birthday", the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a scene from the movie printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing. Collectible, historic and unaddressed (unaddressed covers are always preferable), this piece makes a great gift for any movie fan.
Double matted in Dark Blue and Light Blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. *** Certificate of Authenticity Included ***
