On December 27, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the new Millennium...in fact, this was the first time the U.S. issued a stamp to celebrate a New Year!  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp, depicting the New Year Baby, cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the year 1999 receding, the famous Y2K in the forefront, and several folks in a celebratory mood.  What a great gift for anyone born in the year 2000!

Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
