On March 30, 2001, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or "stamp" commemorating the 300th Anniversary of Yale University located in New Haven, CT. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, in this case a postcard with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (New Haven, CT) the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color silk cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts Connecticut Hall, also featured on the "stamp." Connecticut Hall is the oldest building on campus and the sole remaining building of the original Georgian architecture.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
