On November 1, 1962, the USPS issued their First Christmas Stamp.  In subsequesnt years it has become tradition to issue both a religious and secular stamp.  In 1962 just one stamp was issued. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the first Christmas stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Pittsburgh, PA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a traditional Christmas Wreath and the Christmas message of "Peace on Earth Good Will to All Men."

Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
