Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp, depicting a woman from each branch of the military...Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force amd Coast Guard.....cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a woman from four of the five branches of the military. The producer of this cover has also written a short commentary about US women in the military, which we've included.
