On October 18, 1997, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the dedication of the Women's Military Memorial in Washington DC. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Memorial rendered in watercolor taking up the entire envelope. This beautiful artwork is repeated in the accompanying print.
