On June 26, 1972, USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the National Parks by honoring Wolf Trap Farm in Virginia. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Vienna, VA.) on the first day of issue captioned above. The addition of three older stamps, which were added along with the new one and then cancelled along with it on its first day of issue, make this a Combo. These older stamps commemorate the National Park Service, Appomattox, the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of Wolf Trap. This is one of many pieces of postal stamp art celebrating the beauty and diversity of America offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity included***
