On May 14, 2004, the USPS issued three stamps commemorating the 200th Aniversary of the historic expedition of William Clark and Meriwether Lewis (1804-6) on its 200th Anniversary. Shown here is one of these and features William Clark on a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Astoria, Oregon) on the first day of issue captioned above.
