On June 13,1987, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the Canada Goose. This stamp was one of a set of 50 to commemorate American Wildlife. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (in this case, the USPS Station in Toronto, Canada to coincide with the Canadian Stamp Show) on the first day of issue captioned above. In short, it's the 'birthday' of the stamp - a collectible, historic piece of postal, as well as hunting - wildlife memorabilia.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features two graceful geese. Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED ***
