On July 6, 2000, the USPS issued a set of twenty stamps honoring 20 different Baseball Players. Called Legends in Baseball, these stamps represented most of the greatest athletes to ever play the game in the 20th century. One of these was Washington Senators Pitcher, Walter Johnson. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Atlanta) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Johnson plus a short bio and some of his stats. Historic, collectible, this is one of many pieces of Baseball Memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
