On May 29, 1948, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Statehood of Wisconsin.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Madison, WI) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the State Capitol Building and the State Flag of Wisconsin, surrounded by wheat and corn.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
