On November 22, 1950, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the National Capital of the United States, Washington DC. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above. The four stamps depict the White House, the US Capitol, the Statue of Freedom, and the US Supreme Court.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features views of the Capitol and White House from old engravings. Unaddressed, historic, and collectible, this is a hard-to-find cover celebrating the history of the United States.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
