On November 11, 1979, the USPS issued a stamp, featuring the Viet Nam Service Medal, to commemorate Viet Nam Veterans. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Arlington, VA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features soldiers jumping from a helicopter. This very collectible First Day Cover is paired with the Viet Nam Soldiers Statue located near the Wall in Washington DC. It's a beautiful photo, taken in the fall with tiny American flags in the foreground.
Matted in military green, this is matted to fit a standard 11X 14 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
