On September 30, 1995, the USPS issued a set of four different Christmas stamps celebrating a Victorian Christmas. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps, two of which feature Victorian Santas, cancelled from the city of issue (North Pole, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) is a beautifully illustrated collage of Christmas scenes...an angel, toys, children opening presents and, of course, Santa.  The artist is Michael Garland, noted author and illustrator of children's books. The producer of this cover has also written a short commentary  about the history of Santa Claus.  We have included a copy for you.

Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
