On February 28, 2000, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or "stamp" commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, in this case a postcard with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (Salt Lake City, Utah) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts, along with the the 'stamp,' the neoclassical landmark John R. Park Building, completed in 1914 and today housing the School of Architecture. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about the University of Utah, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY plus COMMENTARY INCLUDED***
