On October 15, 1991, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or "stamp" commemorating the Sesquicentennial (1842-1992) of the University of Notre Dame. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, in this case a postcard with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (Notre Dame, Indiana) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the golden dome of the main building also shown on the imprint or "stamp." The producer of this cover has printed a brief history of the University on the back; we have included a copy for you.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
