On June 26, 1995, the USPS issued a stamp honoring the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (San Francisco) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the flags of the five leading nations of the United Nations and a dove symbolizing the goal of world peace.
