On April 5, 1980, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or 'stamp' commemorating the Salt Lake Temple. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the 'stamp', depicting the Temple with its six spires cancelled from the city of issue (Salt Lake City, UT) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) also features the exterior of the Temple. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about this historic granite structure, seeming to defy any one architectural style, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
