On June 30,1978, the USPS issued a stamp depicting the US Flag with the words,"The Land of the Free...The Home of the Brave." Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Baltimore, Md.) on the first day of issue captioned above. The addition of five older stamps, which were added to the envelope along with the new stamp and them cancelled along with it on its first day of issue, make this a Combo. The oldest stamp is the 2 cents Jackson/Scott stamp that was issued in 1937.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features Francis Scott Key. This is one of several collectible, historic pieces of Patrotic Americana offered by Wall Art Collectbles.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
