On July 28, 1997, the USPS issued a set of fifteen stamps to commemorate Classic American Dolls. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with three of the stamps....Ludwig Greiner, "Betsy McCall", and Percy Crosby's "Skippy," cancelled from the city of issue (Anaheim, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Ken Doll from 1994 as Rhett Butler at the Atlanta Charity Bazaar. Collectible, historic, it's a great way to display your passion for Barbie Dolls, in particular, Ken. In 1999, Barbie would eventually get her own stamp. This popular doll was selected as one of 15 events to represent the decade of the 1960's in the 150 stamp series, Celebrate the Century.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
