On August 4, 1965, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or 'stamp' celebrating the 175th Anniversary of the US Coast Guard.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, a postcard with the 'Stamp,' cancelled from the city of issue (Newburyport, MA) on the first day of issue (captioned above.)

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows the Massachusetts, the first US revenue cutter plus the US Coast Gurard insignia.  Historic, collectible, and unaddressed, this item will be a proud possession for the man or woman who has served with the US Coast Guard.

Double matted in green & white, we have sized it to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
