On August 24, 2000, the USPS issued a stamp to honor the WWII Commanding General of all U.S. Forces in China, Burma, and India, General Joseph W. Stilwell. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Providence, R.I.) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of Stilwell. Collectible, historic, this is a great piece of U.S. Army and WWII memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, this is matted to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included plus a short bio of Stilwell***
