A DAY IN INFAMY ...December 7, 1941....This full color print of the USS ARIZONA sailing under power is joined by 3 HISTORIC, COLLECTIBLE, UNCANCELLED US POSTAGE STAMPS. The Middle stamp was issued in 1945 to celebrate the US Navy. The other 2 stamps are part of the series that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Declaration of War on Japan. They were issued in 1991.
The sneak attack on Pearl Harbor galvanized the American people as they have never been before or since. You don't have to have been part of the Pacific Theater to appreciate the significance of the events of that day in 1941. It touched us all and the world was never the same because of it.
Matted in blue, this piece is sized to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame. Not found in stores, this is a WALL ART COLLECTIBLES exclusive.
