This aerial view photo print of the USAF Thunderbirds in formation is joined by THREE HISTORIC, COLLECTIBLE UNCANCELLED US POSTAGE STAMPS. The middle stamp is of Billy Mitchell, considered the "guiding hand" of the modern Air Force. The other 2 stamps are both commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Air Force. The older stamp, issued in 1957, features a B52 and takes the Air Force from its days as part of the Army Air Corps to 1947 when it became its own branch of the service. The newer stamp displays a formation of F16s (Thunderbirds); it was issued in 1997 and commemorates 50 years of the independent service, the US Air Force.
Matted in blue, of course, and sized to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame, this is a perfect gift for anyone who has worn the Air Force Blue.
