On July 10, 1973, the USPS issued a set of four stamps called Progress in Electronics.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp commemorating 25 Years of Transistors, cancelled from the city of issue (New York, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the three Bell Laboratories winners of the Nobel Prize for Transistor Invention...Walter Brattain, William Shockley, and John Bardeen.

Double matted in blue & white, this item is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
