Toy Trains..... On October 28, 1992, the USPS issued a set of four stamps in its ongoing secular Christmas series. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp commemorating Toy Trains cancelled from the city of issue (New York, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork
on the envelope) features a young boy dressed in overalls and
engineer's cap, surrounded by various toy train engines. The caption
under the picture reads, "Christmas - Wheezy whistles and simulated
smoke, action-packed fun under the Christmas tree." The maker of this
cover has also written a brief commentary about toy trains and the
American companies that produce them. A copy will be included for you.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
