On May 28, 1998, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate Electric Toy Trains. This stamp was one of fifteen chosen to represent the decade of the 1920's in the 150 set of stamps called Celebrate the Century. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Chicago) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The sepia colored cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a father and son playing with a train. The producer of this cover has also included a brief commentary about the impact of Toy Trains in the early part of the twentieth century. We've included a copy for you.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
