The USPS honored beloved children's author Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) with a stamp in 2004. Shown here is a First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (LaJolla, Ca.) on the first day of issue (March 2, 2004.)
