On November 21, 1970, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 350th Anniversary of the Landing of the Mayflower. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Plymouth, Mass.) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of the Mayflower, a boatload of Pilgrims coming ashore, and a waiting group of Pilgrims and Native Peoples. This cover is a collectible, historic piece of sailing and New England memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
