On May 20, 1995, the USPS issued a set of five stamps commemorating Recreational Sports. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, a proof card with the stamp for Tennis cancelled from the city of issue (Jupiter, FL) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features two men in a doubles match while the stamp shows a woman about to return a ball. The producer of this cover has written a short history of the game...a copy has been included for you.
Matted in green, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
