On September 25, 1985, the USPS issued a set of four stamps celebrating Four American Horse Breeds....the Morgan, the Saddlebred, the Quarter Horse, and the Appaloosa.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Lexington, Ky.) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a full-color drawing of another American breed, the handsome Tennessee Walking Horse.  The fact that this cover has a great cachet, is unaddressed and has all the stamps in the series cancelled on the first day of issue contributes to the collectibility of this piece of postal and horse memorabilia.

Double matted in blue & white, we've sized the mat to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included as well as a short history on the Tennessee Walking Horse***
