On November 18, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the ground-breaking TV series, "All in the Family." Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (New York City) on the first day of issue captioned above. The brain-child of Norman Lear and the top-rated show for five consecutive years, "All in the Family" was one of fifteen events selected to represent the decade of the 1970's in the 150 stamp series called Celebrate the Century.
The great full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) plus the fact that this envelope is unaddressed make this cover is a collectible, historic piece of television and postal memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included as well as a short commentary on "All in the Family"***
