Tuskegee Airmen.....
This black and white photo print of a group of Tuskegee Airmen in front of their Curtiss P-40 aircraft, is joined by two uncancelled, collectible stamps. On the left is the 1959 airmail stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force - from it's inception as a part of the Army Air Corps, to 1947, when the USAF became its own service branch. On the right is the State Flag stamp of Alabama to commemorate the Tuskegee Army Air Field where they trained and derived their name.
Matted in blue, with three separate openings, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.
