On January 22, 1991, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Tulip. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting a tulip cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a photo of a cluster of tulips in full bloom. It's printed on silk, the luster lending an almost three dimensional quality to the picture.
Double matted in dark green and maroon, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
