On July 12, 1988, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Tugboat in its series on transportation. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp  cancelled from the city of issue (Long Beach, Ca.) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of the "workhorse of the seas".  Great art, unaddressed, this cover is a collectible, historic piece of tug boat memorabilia.

Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included ***
