On September 12, 1990, the island country of Guyana located on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America, issued a set of 27 stamps celebrating their diverse and spectacular Tropical Birds.  Shown here is a Collector Panel displaying 14 of these full-color 27 stamps, with original artwork created for this piece of postal memorabilia by artist Michael Warren, an avid birdwatcher and member of the Society of Wildlife Artists.  Portrayed is a pair of Doubtful Trogons, solitary birds seen singly or in pairs, preferring the cool climates of Central and South America's higher mountain regions.

The 14 Tropical Birds displayed on the stamps are the:  Ivory Billed Aracari, Doubtful Trogon, Banded Aracari, Green Aracari, Tufted Coquette, Fiery Topaz, Berylline Humming Bird, White Tipped Sickle Bill, Emerald Chinned Hummingbird, Black Jacobin, Golden Headed Train Bearer, Red Billed Toucan, Welcome Trogon, and Sulphur Breasted Toucan.

From Aracaris to Hummingbirds to Toucans to Trogons, this colorful, collectible, historic piece of art is complimented by green mat.  We've sized this piece to fit a standard 11x14 frame.  Also included is a commentary about each bird and the artist.  It comes in its own plastic bag with removable adhesive strip, suitable for applying to the back of the framed piece for quick reference.  What a delightful way to bring the bright colors of the Tropics into your home or office and celebrate the diversity and splendor of these 'flying jewels' as well!  ***See the accompanying piece in this category featuring a pair of Green Aracaris for the remaining 13 stamps.***
