On July 30, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Rio Grande River. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Milwaukee, WI) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The sepia toned cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the Rio Grande at Big Bend National Park. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about the Rio Grande, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
