On July 20, 1977, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or 'stamp' commemorating the Galveston Courthouse and Federal Building, built in 1861. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover....the postcard with the "stamp" (the imprint is treated as if it were a separate stamp) cancelled from the city of issue (Galveston, TX) on the first day of issue (captioned above.)

The cachet (artwork on the postcard) features an exterior view of the building.

Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.   ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
