On August 31, 1974, the USPS issued an imprinted envelope with the imprint commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sport of Tennis. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (Forest Hill, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a tennis racquet in motion and gives a brief history of the formation of the sport.

Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
