On June 1, 1946, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Statehood of Tennessee.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, which depicts Andrew Jackson and John Sevier, cancelled from the city of issue (Nashville, TN) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features several Tennessee landmarks, among them, the Norris Dam and The Hermitage.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
