On May 18, 1983, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Tennessee Valley Authority.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, which depicts the Norris Dam, one of several dams built by the TVA to provide flood control along the Tennessee River, bringing new prosperity to the state, cancelled from the city of issue (Nashville, TN) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features construction of the dam and President Franklin Roosevelt.  The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about the TVA, which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
