On August 15, 2002, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating four different American Teddy Bears and the comapnies that produced them. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp depicting the Ideal Toy Corp. Teddy Bear - the first American company to produce Teddy Bears, cancelled from the city of issue (Atlantic City, NJ) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a charming vintage print showing three teddy bears and a doll. It's printed on silk, the luster lending an-almost three dimensional quality to the picture. If you're an arctophile that loves the old Ideal Bears...here's a unique way to display this passion, with a historic, matted 1st Day Cover for your wall.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
