Surgeonfish, Sergeant-Major Fish & Hermit Crab....
On June 24, 1999, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating Aquarium Fish. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp showing the Surgeonfish, Sergeant-Major, Hermit Crab and Heater-Aerator of an aquarium, cancelled from the city of issue (Anaheim, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts the Surgeonfish making its way through an anemone while a sergeant-major swims lazily above. It's printed on silk, the texture making the colors pop and the picture look three-dimensional.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
