On February 3, 2002, the New England Patriots upset the highly favored St. Louis Rams and won Super Bowl XXXVI which was played in New Orleans.  Shown here is genuine Commemorative Cover, an envelope with the cancellation 'freezing' the place and date of the event.  On a commemorative cover the stamp only serves the purpose of providing current postage, for without it, the post office would not affix a cancellation. Note the special postmark showing a crown over a football.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows New England Patriot kicker Adam Vinatieri, after he kicked a 48-yard field goal to upset the Rams with a final score of 20 to 17.  The picture is printed on silk, the luster lending an almost three-dimensional quality to the artwork.  A brief commentary is also included on the envelope.  Historic, collectible, and a super cachet featuring the highlight play of the game...well, it just doesn't get any better than this!  Whether you're a Patriots or Rams fan, this is a must-have, extremely rare piece of Super Bowl Memorabilia.

Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
