On July 13, 1978, the USPS issued a stamp to celebrate the Steinway Grand Piano. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Interlochen, MI), on the first day of issue captioned above. The addition of five older stamps which were cancelled along with the piano stamp make this a Combo... an extra-special first day cover. In addition to the 1964 American Music stamp and the 1978 Jimmie Rodgers stamp, there is the 3-stamp set called the "Spirtit of 76" issued 1/1/76 to kick-off the Bicentennial Year.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features three musicians and a singer.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
