Diver with Boat, Puffer Fish, and Dolphins.....
On October 3, 1994, the USPS issued a set of four stamps called Wonders of the Sea...from brightly colored tropical fish to scuba divers, playful dolphins, to shells and sunken treasure. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Honolulu, HI) on the first day of issue captioned above. And what a colorful stamp it is: A female scuba diver swims with three tropical fish, while a dolphin leaps out of the water, a motorboat and diving bouy float on the surface.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a diver playing with two dolphin while a tropical fish swims by, a power boat is on the surface. The picture is printed on silk, the luster lending extra vibrancy to the bright colors.
Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
